Heavenly Whole Wheat Bread - 2 lb. loaf 13 ounces water (varies with humidity - if corners don’t mix, use a bit less water) 4 tablespoons butter or margarine (1/2 stick) 4 cups flour (any combination of whole wheat and white - see notes below) 2 teaspoons SALT 1/3 cup potato flakes 2 Tablespoons SUGAR 2 teaspoons yeast (MUST STAY DRY if using delayed baking) Optional: Up to 1/2 cup grains and seeds Set timer for number of hours until bread is finished. Don’t forget to press START! NOTE: if all the flour isn't kneaded (leaving floury corners on the loaf) try cutting back on the water by two tablespoons NOTE: if you use all white flour cut the amount by half a cup or the bread will rise too much NOTE: if you use all whole wheat flour add half a cup, as it doesn't have as much gluten so it doesn't rise as much - or use a bit of wheat gluten --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Heavenly Whole Wheat Bread - 1.5 lb. loaf 1 & 1/3 cups water (varies with humidity - if corners don’t mix, use a bit less water) 4 tablespoons butter or margarine (1/2 stick) 3 cups flour (any combination of whole wheat and white - see notes below) 1.5 teaspoons SALT 1/4 cup potato flakes 2 Tablespoons SUGAR 2 teaspoons yeast (MUST STAY DRY if using delayed baking) Optional: Up to 1/2 cup grains and seeds Set timer for number of hours until bread is finished.
